Mike Allen, Owner of Carfix, has auto repair in his blood. In fact, his family has made its living in auto repair for three generations. Since 1927, the Allen family men have worked tirelessly in auto repair to keep their customers happy and safe while on the road.
It started with his grandfather, Louis Allen, who opened and operated Allen’s Service Station in White Cross, NC, for over 50 years. When Mike was a kid, he would head over to White Chapel in glee to work at his grandfather’s shop. Nothing was more fun to him than fuelling up cars and getting plenty of grease and grime on his hands, much to his mother’s dismay.
Mike’s father, James Allen, also owned a shop in North Carolina. His was in Chapel Hill and the name of it was Auto ProtoCall. He ran that shop for 30 years, and Mike often helped him at his shop, too, during his childhood. Mike learned at a very early age how to service and repair automobiles, and he knew at a very early age that this was his calling as well.
In 2004, Mike and his wife, Amanda, made the decision to open Carfix in Garner, NC. They had moved to the Cleveland area and established their roots in the community. These roots helped them establish their mission to ensure every customer’s vehicle is safe and reliable all the time. They won’t rest unless they’re certain you aren’t at risk of a breakdown.
Another part of Carfix’s mission is to offer its customers the best customer service in the industry, which is easy for them to do. They not only bring over 100 years of cumulative experience in the automotive industry; they also love their community. In fact, you’ll find Mike and his family involved in the community when not at work.
Aside from owning a reliable auto repair shop in Garner, NC, since 2004, Mike is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Independent Garage Owners Association of NC and the Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce. Vast experience, the best customer service, and community involvement add up to Carfix in Garner, NC. Let’s continue to make history together!
