My experience with Carfix on Hillsborough in Raleigh could not have gone better. The testing and repairs on my 2021 Subaru Ascent were done promptly and professionally. I needed the car a day earlier than planned and they met that goal. I highly recommend this Carfix location.

Always get great service and honest opinions. We had to get a part ordered and they worked with us on the scheduling.

Review of the Hillsborough St location: An honest repair shop that fixes things that need fixing and they do it well. The shop doesn't invent problems. They stand behind their work. I've recommended Carfix's services to a number of friends and family members. This is my go-to shop for a 2000 Jeep TJ and 2009 Honda Accord.

Great people with excellent customer service skills. Very detailed analysis and workmanship. Highly recommended…but not cheap. However, you receive value for your money.

These folks were gracious, kind and went out of their way to accommodate me and quickly repair my tire while I was traveling from out of town. Hard to find service like that anymore.

I’ve only had good experiences at Carfix in Garner over the last few years! Tyson is always accommodating and communicative and Elliott (along with all the other mechanics) have always been up front and honest about any work that needs to be done.

Been my go to for years, multiple vehicles and great service, they are always responsive.

Tim was just outstanding. He was filling in at the West St location, however, he treated like I’d been his customer in Garner for years. He helped me by calling Audi and better understanding what was under warranty. He help me understand what services to prioritize for safety reasons vs. nice to haves. Def a Carfix fan!

The Carfix guys made substantial repairs to my 14-year old car last week. They also replaced the sparkplugs and tuned up the engine, and replaced the transmission fluid. The car is now running the best since I bought it 16 months ago. Carl Russ

It has been 20 years, and they they still take great care of our vehicles and all my family. I feel safer knowing they are keeping my older vehicles in top condition and for a very fair price. Their warranties, and more so their personal guarantees, mean the world to us. Thank you all at CarFix. I think there are three locations in the Raleigh area? We use the Garner location at I-40 & Hwy 42.

CarFix is the BEST and here is why. As a retired Soldier and investigator I have lived and traveled all over the country. I have owned a lot of new and used cars. One thing I have learned over the past 38 years is there are a lot of bad people out there who will not hesitate to rip you off and who do lousy work. Sometimes it takes a while to figure them out. CarFix is definitely NOT one of these places and I have been going to them for almost six years. (20 now) They are honest, reliable, quick and reasonably priced. I travel for long periods of time I can count on Mike, Brian and "all" the others the guys at CarFix to take care of my family when I’m away. Truthfully, one time in 6 years I had an issue. Mike took care of that problem and retained my confidence and business. That is why I gave them a FIVE star rating.

2024: I’m here again. Great tire selection.for my Ram, the Michelin Defender. Like having tennis shoes on my truck. Thanks Zander. Five Stars

2025: CarFix is truly an “outstanding” garage that will service all your vehicle needs. I have been coming here for 20 years now. They are more like a family than simply a business. Professionals yet friendly, experienced and trustworthy, fair prices and straight forward, free transport, and much, much more. I use the Garner location, but there are two others in the Raleigh area.

Carfix, located in Garner NC is clean and well maintained. Staff are always warm, friendly and ready to help. Each time they do a total inspection to be sure it's safe to drive and to be sure small issues don't become big costly problems. I'm always very pleased to have them service my car. 5 Stars, every time!

Needed a tire fixed due to a puncture from a nail. CarFix was extremely quick, and even offered to get me a ride. Great folk doing good work.

This location has Superb customer service each and every time I step through the door greeted with the same energy, smiles ,laughs and outstanding performance on cars. Very detailed for a woman to understand in breakdown a problem to a car( gerber). The person that locked me was Steven. He has now went to better positions but he left the store in the best of Hands. I feel secure coming to that location where the he is there or not but God knows I love to see Steven sent from the customer service Gods themselves. He is the Thor of customer service. The team at that location is the Avengers! They are all my super heroes. Keeping me moving when my business is based out of my car daily.

I had to get a blown out tire replaced and internal engine problems repaired. Carfix did a great job at a reasonable price.

Good experience, the guys got me out quickly (I was waiting in the shop) and explained what else needed to be done.

Workplace Summary:
The counters and lobby were clean and professional. The women's bathroom was functional, decorative, and well-maintained. Drinks were provided, which I greatly appreciated!

Work Attitude:
Professional, personable, and respectful. As a woman, I have occasionally been treated dismissively or quoted higher prices for the same services a man would receive at the same place—especially at dealerships. I am grateful that this was not the case here. I found the prices to be in the middle of the average price range for each service I received.

I am also thankful that they were able to accommodate me on an unexpected snow day for my job! I have three jobs, so fitting in much-needed car maintenance around my schedule can be quite difficult.

Overall Company Review:
The current co-owner of Carfix is Mike Allen. His grandfather, Louis Allen, founded a service station in 1927. The core values that the family has upheld since then were evident in my service on February 20th, 2025. I sent in my schedule and needs on February 19th, then I received a call first thing in the morning on the 20th! They didn’t need to hold my car overnight. They offered financing options and provided free rides to and from my home.
