Efficient and professional. Nice folks!

10/10 job, guys. Highly recommend them and I will return.

My brakes went out just down the road from this shop.
After seeing brake fluid leak from my rear hub, I called Carfix up and spoke to Tim.

When I got the car to their shop, Tim was extremely professional he communicated expectations effectively. They even called me an Uber home.

Over the next couple days, they communicated a ton about their findings on my car, recommended repairs, sent and invoice with pictures and videos of issues, offered financing, and once things were squared away and they had a green light, fixed my car very quickly.

Amazing customer service. They ho above and beyond.

Excellent work, efficient and reasonable with their pricing.

You guys are awesome!! Thank you for everything you guys did to get us back on the road. Will be come back again soon!!

Tim and the team at Carfix on Hillsborough Street went above and beyond for me today for my car repair needs. I came in for a simple free estimate, and received an in-depth diagnosis of my car's transmission issues, excellent customer service, multiple repair options at different price points, and plenty of advice. After having my car inspected and even test driven, Tim called me personally to walk me through all of the issues encountered during the inspection, explaining everything in layman's terms which helped me to understand clearly. Though I didn't decide in that moment how/when to proceed with the transmission replacement my car needed, Tim handled my case with absolutely integrity and care. Best free estimate ever, highly recommend!

The owner John was excellent to work with! Mechanical work was great, communication was also good!!! Definitely the only place that I will be taking my vehicles.

I've been a client of Carfix for the past few years and l've always been very pleased with their service, technicians and staff. They're knowledgeable, ethical, professional and friendly but today two technicians, Cliff & Ethan, blew me away with an issue l've been having. An issue l'm sure any technician would dread and understandably so... l had a noise coming from the front of the car that was hard to describe and not always consistent. Yeah, one of those issues. Well, within 2 hours they had not only discovered what it was but resolved the issue as well. Kudos to Cliff & Ethan for an AMAZING job; I'm grateful for your expertise and sleuth skills.

Let me preface this by saying this place hasn’t done anything to my car yet. I was laid off and began my job at Food Lion. My car began giving me issues so I looked up the first car repair company I could find. When I came in, the front desk gentleman incredibly nice. When he asked would I like a ride home because my car would need to be in the shop for a while, I was genuinely shocked. I never expected them to do that for free. They were able to get me to knightdale, which is 30 or more minutes away. John, the owner I believe, was truly generous in his actions. He felt bad for me and it made the world for him to actually care. The man the drove me was nice as well.

Let me end by saying I’m nearly 40 and the service I received was something out of the 90s lol. In 2026, you don’t get this type of treatment and hospitality from many places. I have no idea about the price, but I believe it’ll be fair and reasonable. Their level of kindness warrants a visit if you ever need your car repaired.

I have had nothing but good experiences at this place. They are always patient and listen thoroughly to concerns and issues. They update you every step of the way, and they are very thorough with their inspections. Their customer service is wonderful and their shuttle service is a great bonus. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

I have been bringing my vehicles to Carfix for more than 12 years now. They have always provided good quality service throughout the years. My current service consultant, Derek was friendly and welcoming when visiting the office. The loaner vehicle system and shuttle services are very convenient and the 5 year/50,000 mile parts and labor warranty is one of the best in the business. I have recommended family, friends and co-workers to check out Carfix as well. "Thanks Guys"!

Too bad I can’t give them 10 stars!

I noticed oil on my garage floor and panicked. I tried to make appointments at THREE of the local Hyundai Dealerships and the wait list was 2-3 weeks away. I then looked for auto repair shops in my area and when I read all the great reviews for Carfix, I hoped they could see me quickly. I was able to get an appointment the next day!

The moment Derek greeted me, I knew I was in the perfect place. He said they would first do a diagnostic test. After that was completed, he showed me exactly where in my engine there were leaks, due to worn valve cover washers and gaskets. He then showed me the photos and re-explained since I know very little about the workings of an engine.

The work was completed, the price was excellent and I found a welcoming repair shop that I will continue to use.

I had my car taken to Carfix yesterday and I have to say I was more than relieved, satisfied and impressed with Steven and the results of what is issue actually was with my car. The amount of care that Steven operates in put me a ease and I felt my car was in the absolute best hands. I would recommend Carfix and send everyone I know to go here if they have any issues with their car. I trust Steven's word and trust him with the care of my car!!! The fact that we're both C/O '97 Warriors is a bonus!!

I went to Carfix for a safety and emissions inspection, and they were very fast and helpful.

Kyle walked me through the whole inspection report and made helpful recommendations about routine maintenance for the car.

** updated review January 2026** thank you Kyle and team for taking care of my little rav4! Yet again, I was impressed with the efficiency and honesty of service. My car was due for a tire alignment and I approved the cost ahead of time. then I got a call to say that when Kyle and his team went in to address it, they found it to be perfectly aligned and no need to do anything. Therefore they did not charge me anything for the service. They could have done nothing, still charged me and I would have never known. But instead they had my best interest. This place clearly operates with trust and honesty as a priority which I SO appreciate. Love this place!

I am so glad I came across Carfix in downtown Raleigh. It’s hard to find a car repair shop you can trust, especially as a woman with little knowledge on cars (I’ve been burned by other shops in the past). But I am really pleased with my experience at Carfix for multiple reasons:
1) they are easy to work with and went above and beyond during the cold / rainy week I visited them - calling an uber for me to go home and come back once services were done. I’ve never had a repair shop offer this before, and it was very appreciated.
2) they prepared a detailed report of the inspection, including photos and descriptions of any issue. This allowed me to consult with my friends and family who know more than I do about vehicles to determine which services I needed right away - all without fear of being “ripped off” since they could back up their recommendations with proof.
3) I did not feel at any point as though they were trying to get me to spend money on unnecessary services. In fact, they explained to me that I had more flexibility than I thought I did on getting my back brakes replaced. This allowed me to make smart decisions for my safety while being cognizant of my budget.

I definitely recommend this shop and am thankful to Ron and his team for the service this week.

my name is Kimberly and my tire went flat while I was in the town of Franklinton, North Carolina. I was able to make it on 2% PSI to this garage where I was treated incredibly friendly promptly and received a plug and air, and the price was incredibly fair. The people working at this location were really nice and friendly and I felt safe. Thank you for saving the day.

I had brake pads and rotors replaced and Carfix did a great job at a very reasonable price. I was very pleased with the job they did and would bring my car to them again for future repairs.
